Towson Murder: Police Say Teen Charged In Father's Death

Police said that a father and son were involved in an argument that escalated and turned deadly Sunday night in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — A Towson man has been charged in the murder of his father Sunday night, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

Devin Scott Vallade II, 19, was charged with first and second-degree murder in the death of his father.

After the two had been arguing Sunday night, the teen allegedly got his father's handgun and shot the man once in the upper body, police said.

Officials said they were called before 10 p.m. to a shooting at the residence where the Vallades lived in the 8100 block of Kirkwall Court and found the victim on the second floor of a house.

Devin Vallade, 46, of the 8100 block of Kirkwall Court, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Officials said they took his son into custody.

According to police, Devin Scott Vallade II was being held without bail.

INITIAL REPORT — A Towson man was shot and killed Sunday night, and the suspect was in custody, according to the Baltimore County Police Department, which said the suspect would be identified once charges were filed.

Authorities were alerted before 10 p.m. to a shooting in the 8100 block of Kirkwall Court, and when they arrived, found the victim with a gunshot wound to the upper body on the second floor of a house, police said.

Officials said that police took the suspect into custody at the scene of the crime.
