Fire Off I-695 Near Greenspring Exit Slowed Traffic

BALTIMORE, MD - A brush fire on the outer loop of the Baltimore beltway briefly slowed traffic Friday afternoon, according to the State Highway Administration.

Smoke was visible in the area of Interstate 695 at Greenspring Avenue as of 2:40 p.m., officials said.

Closures were in effect on the outer loop of I-695, where the right lane, right shoulder and ramp to Greenspring Avenue were closed for the reponse as of 2:45 p.m.

By 3:25 p.m., all lanes had cleared and traffic was running smoothly in the area.
