Firearm Call Closed Road Near Halstead Academy: Police

A call about a firearm resulted in a road closure and impacted students as police investigated.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — After police were called about a firearm discharging near Halstead Road, authorities briefly closed streets in the area to investigate. Ultimately, officials said nobody was located who had been shot or who had shot a firearm in the area.

The report of a shot fired came in before 2:15 p.m. Tuesday on Saturn Court, according to police.

Officers from the Towson precinct responded and closed Hillsway Avenue between Halstead Road and Wentworth Avenue.

Before 3 p.m., police said all roads were reopening, and Halstead Academy was releasing students.
