Fractured Prune Opening in Towson

If you have a sweet tooth and penchant for donuts, Christmas is coming early this year in Towson.

The Fractured Prune has put its sign up on Chesapeake Avenue and reports it is opening in the next month or two.

At Fractured Prune, each donut can be customized to order, with more than a dozen glazes and toppings to choose from. Its most popular donut is called the “OC Sand,” a creation coated in honey glaze and dipped in cinnamon and sugar. All donuts are served hot.

Once its doors open, it will mark the twentieth location for the franchise, which spans from Arizona to New Jersey. It sounds as though Towson donut fans will not have to wait long.

“...the interior is coming along beautifully!” Fractured Prune posted on its Towson Facebook page Saturday, along with a photo of the storefront, which has a sign that says: “Coming soon.”

The Towson store’s opening is tentatively scheduled for late November or early December, according to the Fractured Prune Towson page.

There are seven other Fractured Prune stores in Maryland: one in Halethorpe, another in Parkville and five in Ocean City, MD.

The Ocean City-based business, known for hand-dipping its donuts, announced expansion plans last year that called for opening 50 locations across the U.S., The Baltimore Sun reports.

The Fractured Prune will be at 3 West Chesapeake Avenue in Towson.
