Vocal music education is universal: it benefits all singers, no matter what type of music is performed: musical theater, choir, community chorus, ensemble singing and barbershop quartets and choruses.

Acapella music has flourished recently with groups like Pentatonix and Straight No Chaser, movies like Pitch Perfect and TV shows like Glee and Sing Off. Deke Sharon, the "godfather of contemporary acapella," has said that barbershop harmony is the "black belt of acapella music." Many of today’s acapella singers cite experience in barbershop singing in their past.

Lessons are free and there are no strings attached to join the Chorus. Space is limited. Interested parties should register before the April 4 date.

On April 4, please arrive by 7:15 p.m. to complete the registration process and to receive your informational packet.

The rehearsal hall is located at 7701 Wise Ave., Dundalk, MD 21222, across the street from McDonald’s. Park in the lot to the side of the building and enter the door at the back corner closest to the basketball courts. Dress is casual.
