Gunpoint Robbery, Self-Defense Stabbing: Towson Crime

A prowler at an auto parts store and other crimes were reported recently to police in the Towson precinct.

TOWSON, MD - The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the Towson precinct. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

An apartment in the 7000 block of Lachlan Circle was burglarized between 9 a.m. and 6:50 p.m. on July 20. Two rooms were ransacked.

Five people robbed a man in the 500 block of Castle drive at 8:45 p.m. on July 19. The group took the victim's cell phone and wallet in the robbery, which took place at gunpoint.

A home was burglarized in the 1300 block of Halstead Road, where keys and a cell phone were taken. The suspect(s) got into the house through the back door between 12:45 a.m. and 4 p.m. on July 19.

A burglary attempt was reported at Pep Boys in the 1700 block of East Joppa Road. Someone at the shop came across the suspect going through used tires in the tire storage area around 3:50 p.m. on July 18. After being confronted, the suspect left in a vehicle.

Cash was stolen in an apartment burglary in the unit block of Stonewain Court. The burglar(s) kicked in the door to the apartment to get inside sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 3:03 p.m. on July 18.

A man stabbed a burglar who was trying to assault him in the 8600 block of Rock Oak Road. The suspect got into the residence through a door that was unlocked. When the burglar tried to assault the man, he stabbed the suspect in self defense, and the suspect left. The burglary happened between 2 and 3:10 a.m. on July 16.
