Woman Died in Hampton Village House Fire, Officials Say
Baltimore County public safety officials say it appears woman started fire on purpose.

The woman rescued from a burning house in Hampton Village Sunday morning has died, Baltimore County public safety officials reported Monday.
The 58-year-old woman was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center in critical condition after firefighters rescued her from a house that was smoking in the 500 block of Valley View Road, officials said.
The woman was later pronounced deceased, officials reported.

Firefighters initially responded to the home at approximately 7:34 a.m. Sunday for a house fire, the report said. Two firefighters reportedly found the woman and carried her out the front door.
Crews worked until 8:15 a.m. to bring the fire under control, according to the report.

“Based on results of the initial investigation, detectives believe the female rescued from the home intentionally started the fire,” the report said.
Authorities have not identified the woman.
