House Fire On Greenspring Avenue Breaks Out On Thanksgiving: BCFD

Firefighters battled heavy fire conditions at a three-story home off Greenspring Avenue on Thanksgiving, officials say.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A three-alarm house fire on Greenspring Avenue that started on Thanksgiving continued on Friday, according to officials. When firefighters arrived, flames were visible from the roof, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported.

Crews were dispatched to a residence in the 10700 block of Greenspring Avenue at 1:52 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 22, said officials.

The three-story residence had heavy fire in the attic, authorities reported. The fire continued throughout the day on Friday, Nov. 23.

Conditions were challenging because there were no fire hydrants in the area, according to WJZ.

No injuries were reported.

It was the second fire on Thanksgiving Day in Baltimore County.

Around 10:45 a.m., crews were called to an apartment fire in the Lansdowne area. That fire was in the kitchen, officials reported.
