Maryland Bagel Available Wednesday At THB Bagels & Deli

TOWSON, MD — Flag Day is Wednesday, June 14, and one Towson business has cooking up a storm in anticipation. On Wednesday, THB Bagels & Deli will once again be selling its insanely popular Maryland bagels.

The business debuted its bagels that were red, white, black and yellow — the colors of the Maryland flag — on March 25, when Maryland Day is celebrated each year. To achieve the desired effect, bakers used food coloring.

Within hours, the "Maryland bagel" had sold out at all three THB locations — in Towson, Canton and Timonium.

"There's emotion associated with the Maryland flag," THB President/CEO Tony Scotto told Patch at the time.

For the June 14 occasion, people can preorder bagels. THB has stores in Towson, Canton, Timonium and a newly opened shop in Charles Village.
