Maryland State Fair 2017: Schedule, Tickets, Parking
The Maryland State Fair runs through Labor Day 2017.
TIMONIUM, MD — The Maryland State Fair runs through Monday, Sept. 4, at the state fairgrounds in Timonium. This marks the 136th year for the fair, which includes rides, animals, live music, festival food, racing, a parade and more.

The fair is open from Thursday, Aug. 24, to Monday, Sept. 4. Admission is $8 per adult, $6 for senior citizens and $3 for children ages 6-11. Children 5 and under are free. Purchase tickets online or at the fair. Rides require tickets; each ticket is $1, and most rides require at least two tickets.

Concerts
Halestorm performs at 8 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 25. The opening act is Fatally Yours at 7 p.m. Tickets are $40 to $50 and include admission to the fair.
Sabrina Carpenter performs at 8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 26. The opening act is Alex Aiono at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6 p.m. Tickets are $40 to $50 and include admission to the fair.
Parking
Limited parking is available at the fairgrounds for $5. Free parking is available at the Park and Ride on Deereco Road west of the fairgrounds on a first-come, first-served basis. Handicapped parking is available. Taking the light rail and other public transportation is recommended.
Daily Events
Livestock and horse shows start at 9 a.m.
The Midway with rides and games will be open from noon to close from Monday to Friday; and it will be open 10 a.m. to close Saturday, Sunday and Labor Day.
Kiddie Land with children's rides will be open from noon to 10 p.m. from Monday to Friday and 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, Sundays and Labor Day.
4-H/Home Arts, Farm & Garden and Exhibition Halls are open from noon to 10 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays; and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Labor Day. Baltimore-based Goetze's Candy Company will attempt to make the world's largest Cow Tales candy - a 10-foot-long caramel - in front of the Bulk Candy Store in the Exhibition Hall.
Live Thoroughbred horse races will be available for watching and wagering in the grandstand on the 5/8-mile Timonium track. Admission to the racetrack is included in the fair’s admission price. Races are on select days: Friday, Aug. 25; Saturday, Aug. 26; Sunday, Aug. 27; Friday, Sept. 1; Saturday, Sept. 2; Sunday, Sept. 3; and Monday, Sept. 4. Post time is at 1 p.m.
Mosner-Miller Museum will be open from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday to Friday; 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturdays, Sundays and Labor Day.

Prohibited
Pets, alcohol, large backpacks, coolers, drones, duffel bags, fireworks, wheeled carts, hoverboards, mace/pepper spray, selfie sticks and weapons (brass knuckles, guns, knives, scissors, stun guns, tasers).
People may bring backpacks that are no greater than 18 by 18 inches; also permitted are camera bags, diaper bags, purses and strollers. All may be searched.
