Murder-Suicide Investigation Continues in Baltimore County

Police released additional info on crime scene officials found Friday.

Police provided more information Monday about a murder-suicide that left a family of three dead Friday afternoon.

Two parents and their daughter were found at 4:40 p.m. deceased in a home in the 1800 block of Cromwood Road, according to Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department.

The daughter—Molly Mendoza, 15—was located in a second-story bedroom with a single gunshot wound, police said. She was found in bed, deceased, according to the report.

Police said Monday that officials had determined that Molly Mendoza was not the aggressor.

Her parents—50-year-old Gilbert Mendoza and 40-year-old Vedrana Mendoza—were in bed in a first-floor bedroom, police reported.

Gilbert Mendoza had multiple stab wounds and one gunshot wound, and Vedrana Mendoza had multiple stab wounds and multiple gunshot wounds, according to the report.

Molly Mendoza, a talented sketch artist, was a student at Loch Raven High School and worked at Oak Crest in Parkville, where her mother Vedrana Mendoza was also employed, according to The Baltimore Sun, which reported Gilbert Mendoza was a waiter.

Officials said the investigation was ongoing, and police were waiting for autopsy reports to provide additional information.
