National Avocado Day: How To Score Free Guacamole In Towson

TOWSON, MD — In case you didn't know, it's national avocado day on Tuesday, July 31. There are a couple of places to score free guacamole in Towson in honor of the occasion.

People can get free chips and guacamole at Nacho Mama's on Tuesday if they mention seeing the deal on Fox 45.

Nacho Mama's owner Phil Jeosl prepared some of the restaurant's secret guac recipe in a segment Tuesday on the station's morning news program.

Nacho Mama's is offering the free guacamole and chips at its Towson location at 2 West Pennsylvania Avenue as well as its Canton location at 2907 O'Donnell Street.

Chipotle is celebrating by giving its customers free guacamole. The catch is that you must order online or via the Chipotle app.

"Our fresh, homemade guacamole has a massive fan following," Chris Brandt, chief marketing officer at Chipotle, said in a press release. "We want to show our love for the avocado and reward our customers' guac obsession. Plus, it's a major bonus that you can skip the line when you order ahead with our app or at chipotle.com."

Chipotle customers must use the 7-digit code AVOCADO when placing an online order to get guacamole on their entree, get a free side of guacamole or get a regular order of chips and guacamole with a burrito, bowl, salad or order of tacos. After selecting an entree, customers can choose to add guacamole as an add-on, a side item or a regular order of chips and guac.

The offer is valid from open to close at participating Chipotle restaurants in the U.S, including the dozens of locations throughout Maryland. The offer is not valid for in-restaurant orders.
