In July 2013, I helped recognize longtime East Towson leader Adelaide Bentley as a local park was named in her honor.
The half-acre park is owned by NeighborSpace of Baltimore County, a local nonprofit organization that preserves land in our urbanized communities. NeighborSpace named the property on East Pennsylvania Avenue in honor of Adelaide Bentley's decades of service to this historic community.
Delegate Steve Lafferty and Eric Rockel from NeighborSpace joined me as we surprised Adelaide Bentley with the news at the annual East Towson picnic.
