'NeverEnding Story' Returns to Movie Theaters for Limited Time
Towson Cinemark is on the list of theaters where Falkor will spread his wings and fly again on the big screen this September.

TOWSON, MD — Falkor will fly again on the big screen this September. Classic 1980s cinema fans will get a blast from the past when "The NeverEnding Story" returns to select movie theaters for a two-day, nationwide run. Among those showing the 130-minute movie on Labor Day is Towson Cinemark at 111 East Joppa Road.
The screenings on Sept. 4 and 7 will mark the first time the beloved coming-of-age movie has been in theaters for more than three decades.
Each screening will include a new featurette — “Reimagine The NeverEnding Story” — before the main attraction. Screenings will take place at 2 and 7 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 4, and Wednesday, Sept. 7.

Here’s how Fathom Events describes the movie:
“While avoiding bullies on his way to school, Bastian (Barret Oliver) ducks into a bookstore where he finds an intriguing book called 'The NeverEnding Story.' Despite warnings of the book’s special powers, Bastian sneaks away and begins reading it in his school’s attic. Through the twists and turns of the book’s fantasy land, Fantasia, Bastian discovers that the kingdom needs the help of a human child to survive The Nothing – a darkness that destroys everything it touches. When Bastian reads a description of himself in the book, he begins to wonder if Fantasia may actually be real.”
