Old Harford Road Bridge Set for Weekend Demolition Project

Traffic will be shifted, according to State Highway Administration.

The State Highway Administration provided the following information.

The Maryland State Highway Administration (SHA) will shift traffic on the Old Harford Road Bridge over I-695 on Saturday, Feb. 7, from 8 a.m. until noon.

All through lanes will be shifted to the west (facing MD 41/Perring Parkway), which will enable crews to begin demolition of the east side of the structure.

Traffic will be alternated during the Saturday traffic shift using a flagging operation. Once the lanes are shifted, all through lanes will remain available to motorists. As part of the traffic shift, left turns from northbound Old Harford Road to Satyr Hill Road will be restricted. This restriction will be in place for the duration of the Old Harford Road Bridge replacement.

The Old Harford Road Bridge replacement is part of the project to improve the I-695/MD 147 (Harford Road) interchange, as well as capacity improvements on the Beltway between Harford Road and Perring Parkway. Click here for complete project information.
