Parking Updates Unveiled At Towson Town Center

The parking upgrades at the mall in Towson help drivers find spots and remember where they parked.

TOWSON, MD — The Towson Town Center has unveiled its new parking system. Like airports that have electronic signage to alert travelers to available spots in crowded areas, the shopping venue has signs showing drivers in real time where to go for parking.

The interior of the parking garage has also been painted to help people remember where they left their vehicles. The color-coded enhancements come with brighter lights too.

The parking improvements have been going on for months and are complete in time for the holidays.

The system is expected to cut down on time spent looking for parking by 44 percent, according to ABC 2 News, which reports the electronic signs show how many spots are available in each level and row in the garage.

Installation of the upgrades, including the Park Assist system, took approximately 11 months, WBAL reported.
