Possible Monkton Explosion, Medevac Called: Baltimore County Officials

Four people were injured in Monkton from a potential explosion involving a fire pit, Baltimore County authorities reported.

MONKTON, MD – A helicopter was called to Monkton Sunday night after a possible explosion that injured four people, officials said. Hazardous materials personnel and police fire investigators were also summoned.

The cause of the incident was a "possible explosion" from a fire pit, and medics were at the scene in the 16500 block of Jm Pearce Road, Baltimore County police and fire officials reported after 9:30 p.m.
