Towson Power Outage Caused by Tractor-Trailer: Police
Vehicle knocked out power to traffic lights, Baltimore County police reported.

TOWSON, MD – Power is out for hundreds in Towson Tuesday morning after a tractor-trailer reportedly hit power lines.
At 8:09 a.m., police said a tractor-trailer struck the overhead utility lines in the 200 block of East Joppa Road.
Following the crash, power went out and impacted several traffic lights, according to Baltimore County police.

BGE was reporting that approximately 229 customers were without power in Towson, and repair crews were on-site, with an estimated restoration time of 10:15 a.m.
Officials said the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, and the vehicle was removed from the wires.

Police asked citizens to use caution in the area, as multiple traffic lights were either out or malfunctioning.
