Power Outages Close 4 BCPS Schools, Plus Greenwood Campus

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Power outages have closed multiple campuses in Baltimore County Wednesday, Aug. 11. Staff will be working remotely Wednesday as a result, officials said.

Four schools and the Greenwood campus are affected by the outages, according to a statement from Baltimore County Public Schools:

• Dundalk High School
• Ridge Ruxton School
• Sollers Point Technical High School
• West Towson Elementary School

The Greenwood campus, which houses the Board of Education building on North Charles Street, is also closed Wednesday.

As of 8:20 a.m, BGE was reporting more than 860 outages among its customers in Baltimore County. Of those, more than 600 were in the Ruxton area, according to the utility provider's outage map.
