RadioShack in Towson Marked to Close

One RadioShack store in Towson is slated to close as the company goes through bankruptcy.

Texas-based RadioShack filed for bankruptcy Feb. 5, while it also announced a deal to sell between 1,500 and 2,400 stores to a mix of companies including Standard General and Sprint, reports Forbes.

On the company’s list of stores to shutter is the Loch Raven Plaza location at 917 Taylor Avenue in Towson.

Out of the company’s estimated 4,000 stores, the Wall Street Journal says 1,750 RadioShack stores may remain open as co-branded Sprint stores. But the rest of the shops will close.

There is no word on the timeframe for the impending closures.
