TOWSON, MD — A Towson man has been charged with rape in connection with the sexual assault of a student at Towson University over the weekend, according to police. He is being held without bail, police reported Monday evening.

Onyekachukwu Chukwuebuk Igwilo, 20, of the 400 block of Towson Way, has been charged with first-degree rape, attempted first-degree rape, false imprisonment, first-degree assault and second-degree assault.

Authorities said the victim was a student at Towson University who called campus law enforcement to report the assault.
