Ride Operator Dies from Suspected Overdose at State Fair: Police

The Baltimore County Police Department reportedly found items that indicated heroin use in the woman's trailer at the Timonium fairgrounds.

A Pennsylvania woman who was a ride operator at the Maryland State Fair died from a suspected heroin overdose, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

At 8:48 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, authorities said they responded to the fairgrounds in the 2200 block of York Road for a reported overdose.

Amanda Leigh Bradley, 22, of the 7700 block of New Street in Wyndmoor, Pa., was found slumped over in a trailer where officers found items indicative of heroin use, police reported.

Bradley was transported to Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where she was pronounced deceased, the report said.

Her body has been taken to the Officer of the Chief Medical Examiner for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, according to the report.

Authorities said Bradley’s supervisor went to her trailer Friday night when the woman did not show up for work at her assigned ride.

Bradley was employed as a ride operator by Deggeller Attractions, according to police.
