Those who knew the student said he had been ill, according to the Baltimore Police Department.

BALTIMORE, MD — A 45-year-old graduate student at Morgan State University who had been missing since early August was found dead by maintenance staff on Tuesday inside a building on campus, police said.
The student, who was not identified publicly, had last entered the building on Thursday, Aug. 4, the Baltimore Police Department reported. Nobody had heard from him since then, and police said his acquaintances told officials he had been ill.
Police responded to the 1700 block of East Coldspring Lane at 10:50 a.m. for the report of a foul smell coming from a room on campus. Maintenance workers discovered the 45-year-old man's body inside the Center for the Built Environment and Infrastructure Studies and notified authorities.
