Some Schools Close As High Temps Forecast In Baltimore County
Baltimore County Public Schools has released the list of schools that will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 2, due to heat.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — All schools without air conditioning will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 2, according to Baltimore County Public Schools. Authorities made the announcement Tuesday, as forecasts call for highs in the low 90s Wednesday.
Baltimore County Public Schools cited "impending excessive heat" in deciding to close all non-air-conditioned facilities Wednesday, noting that magnet school shuttles would continue their schedules as usual.
Here is the list of Baltimore County Public Schools that will be closed Wednesday, Oct. 2:

- Bedford Elementary School
- Berkshire Elementary School
- Campfield Early Learning Center
- Catonsville Center for Alternative Studies
- Colgate Elementary School
- Dulaney High School
- Lansdowne High School
- Watershed Public Charter School
All other schools will operate on schedule.
This is the second time so far this school year, which began Sept. 3, that schools without air conditioning have been closed due to excessive heat. The other was Thursday, Sept. 12.

It's also the second day off this week for some students, since schools were closed Monday, Sept. 30, for Professional Development Day.
