SECU – Maryland’s largest state-chartered financial cooperative – has named Darlene Scarborough Manager of its Towson Branch, located at 8603 LaSalle Road in Towson.
“Darlene is representative of management’s commitment to a strategic talent selection process and resultant strong addition to the SECU team,” says Christopher Groshko, Assistant Vice President, Retail Banking at SECU.
Scarborough will be responsible for direct management of the Towson Branch, including performance monitoring, employee development and coaching, sales and service execution, as well as problem resolution.

As Branch Manager, Scarborough will focus primarily on employee development and member education and adoption of all the outstanding financial solutions SECU can provide, ensuring that referral and branch sales goals are met while directing all daily branch activity.
Scarborough brings more than 30 years of experience in branch operations and relationship management to SECU, most recently as a Commercial Branch Manager for M&T Bank. A resident of Owings Milles, she previously managed a portfolio of 250 business and retail customers while directly overseeing a staff of 13 professionals.
