Shopper Robbed On York Road: Towson Crime

Race Pace burglary, Urban Outfitters assault, and five residential burglaries were reported in Towson this week.

TOWSON, MD - The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about recent incidents in the Towson precinct. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

There was an attempted burglary in the 500 block of Piccadilly Road reported on Sept. 11. Although someone tried to pry open the basement door, there was no entry into the residence. The burglary attempt occurred between 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 10 and 11 a.m. on Sept. 11.

A bicycle was stolen in a burglary at Race Pace Bicycles in the 700 block of Dulaney Valley Road. The burglar broke the glass front door using an unknown object around 12:03 a.m. on Sept. 9.

There was an attempted burglary at a vacant home in the 300 block of Aigburth Road. Someone tried to open a window to get inside between 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 and 10 a.m. on Sept. 10.

A woman was robbed of her groceries and pushed by a stranger in the 6300 block of York Road. The woman was walking toward a bus stop around 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 8 with her grocery cart when the suspect took the groceries and other items, pushed her and got into a vehicle with another suspect.

Someone went into a detached garage in the 900 block of Old Oak Road and took out a bicycle between 10 p.m. on Sept. 7 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 8. The bicycle was left in the driveway. Nothing else was removed in the burglary.

Lawn equipment was stolen in a shed burglary in the 1600 block of Cottage Lane. The lock was forced open at the shed, which was broken into between 10 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 5:45 a.m. on Sept. 7.

A shoe was stolen from a residence in the 700 block of Bridgeman Terrace. The burglary occurred through a sliding glass door and happened between 8 p.m. on Sept. 6 and 4:21 p.m. on Sept. 7.

Three women were suspected in an assault at Urban Outfitters in the 400 block of York Road. At 6:03 p.m. on Sept. 5, three women went into the store and tried to take merchandise. They fought with and assaulted people who tried to intervene, then went to retrieve a gun from their vehicle - possibly a white Lexus sedan - before they got into the car and left.
