Shops At Kenilworth Announces New Clothing Retailer

TOWSON, MD — A new store will open at The Shops at Kenilworth this summer. The shopping center made the announcement this week.

J. Jill will open this summer in The Shops at Kenilworth, the announcement said. The women's retailer is known for providing fashion in a range of sizes, from petite to tall.

Nearby locations are the Towson Town Center, Mall in Columbia and Village of Cross Keys.

J. Jill has more than 270 stores. It began in 1959 in Massachusetts as a specialty store that evolved into a catalog business.

The company opened retail stores in 1999 and became publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange in 2017. In the first quarter of 2018, J. Jill closed three stores, based on the latest information provided to investors, which also stated that sales overall increased.
