Some Baltimore County Schools Opening Late on Wednesday
BREAKING: One zone of Baltimore County Public Schools has delayed opening, while others will open on time on Jan. 11.

TOWSON, MD — Schools in the Hereford zone will open two hours late due to inclement weather on Wednesday, Jan. 11, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.
The Hereford zone includes Fifth District Elementary, Hereford High, Hereford Middle, Jacksonville Elementary, Prettyboy Elementary, Seventh District Elementary and Sparks Elementary.
All other public schools and offices are opening on time Wednesday, officials said.

McDonogh School will open two hours late.
Due to freezing rain overnight, transportation officials encouraged drivers to expect slick conditions Wednesday morning.

"Icy spots are still possible," the Maryland Transportation Authority advised. "Approach what is wet as if it was ice. Bridges, overpasses & infrequently traveled roads will freeze first."
