Nando's Opens in Towson Wednesday

The new restaurant in Towson Square serves South African-Portuguese cuisine.

Nando’s PERi-PERi, a restaurant that prides itself on its flame-grilled chicken, is opening its newest location Wednesday in Towson Square.

The South African-Portuguese chain has restaurants in two dozen countries across five continents, according to a statement from Nando's. Items on the menu range from mango and lime chicken to a portobello mushroom wrap with chili jam. Check out the menu.  

In Baltimore County, the 136-seat restaurant will be the first eatery to open in Towson Square, adjacent to the Cinemark Towson movie theater, which opened last week.

“We are proud pioneers in Towson Square and can’t wait to share our fiery PERi-PERi flavors with Nando’s virgins and veterans alike,” Burton Heiss, CEO of Nando’s PERi-PERi USA, said in a prepared statement.

The 3,500-square-foot restaurant features open-flame grills inside and a wraparound patio that seats 38 people outside, according to a statement from Nando's.

Nando's is located at 109 East Joppa Road in Towson. Parking is available in the main Towson Square parking garage, where Nando’s will provide customers with free parking for one hour.
