Suspect Arrested in York Road Robbery Attempt: Police
The man was wanted in Baltimore and Howard counties, according to police.

The man wanted in connection with two robberies, including one attempt at a York Road gas station, has been taken into custody, police reported Thursday morning.
Ricky Calvin Tolson, 36, of no fixed address, was found in Baltimore City, according to the report.
Police said he was taken into custody Wednesday on arrest warrants for robberies out of Baltimore and Howard counties.

Authorities identified Tolson last week as the suspect in a mini mart holdup in Howard County and attempted gas station robbery in Baltimore County in an attempt to locate him.

At approximately 2 p.m. on Friday, June 17, he tried unsuccessfully to rob the BP gas station in the 1600 block of York Road in Lutherville, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.
Police said he approached the counter with his hand under his shirt, as though he was holding a gun, and demanded money and lottery tickets from the cashier; but when he went around the counter, the cashier pushed him away.
After two customers entered the store, he left empty-handed, police said.
Howard County police allege Tolson robbed the SF Mini Mart in the 12400 block of Clarksville Pike in Clarksville the day before. At approximately 3:10 p.m. on Thursday, June 16, police said the suspect, later identified as Tolson, went into the mini mart, implied he had a weapon, demanded money and left with cash.
Tolson has been charged with first and second-degree assault; armed robbery; and use of a handgun to commit a felony in connection with the June 17 incident, according to court records.
