Towson Crime: 4 Businesses Targeted, Towson Town Center Robbery

Four businesses in Towson have been robbed or burglarized since the beginning of June, according to police.

TOWSON, MD โ€” There have been three robberies, two burglaries and attempted robbery in the past 10 days in Towson, according to police. The following information was provided by the Baltimore County Police Department. Arrests do not indicate convictions.

Two Royal Farms stores were robbed by armed individuals within 40 minutes of one another.

Police said an armed individual went into the Royal Farms store in the 1500 block of East Joppa Road and ordered the clerk to open the registers at 12:08 a.m. on Monday, June 10. After stealing cash, the armed robber left on foot, officials said.

Less than an hour earlier, the Royal Farms Store in Mount Washington was robbed at gunpoint. In that case, police said the suspect pointed a gun at an employee of the store in the 6000 block of Falls Road before stealing cash and cigarettes. The robbery occurred at 11:33 p.m. on Sunday, June 9. Police said afterward, the suspect left on foot.

There was a robbery at Towson Town Center on Thursday, June 6. A man and his friends were physically fighting with someone in a store at the mall in the 800 block of Dulaney Valley Road. Police said that the altercation occurred at 7:15 p.m. and concluded when the suspects took a bag from the victim's shoulder and left the store.

A burglary occurred at the Towson Tobacco Market in the 400 block of York Road. The suspect pried open the door to the store, then went in and stole cigarettes, police said. The burglary occurred at 3:35 a.m. on Monday, June 3.

Police said three armed individuals assaulted two people in the 900 block of Taylor Avenue on Sunday, June 9. They tried to take items from the victims at 9:40 p.m. but were unsuccessful and took off; nothing was taken in the robbery attempt, police said.

Enterprise Rent-A-Car in the 1700 block of East Joppa Road was burglarized. Someone threw a large rock into the side window of the building at 1 a.m. on Saturday, June 1. Afterward, a drawer and cabinet were ransacked, but nothing was taken, according to officials.
