Towson Double Homicide Involved Drug Deal: Police
Two brothers have been charged with murder after two men were found fatally shot in a Towson apartment.

TOWSON, MD — Two men have been charged in the Towson double homicide that happened last week. Police said the suspects are brothers.
Norwood Thomas Johnson Jr., 29, and Nyghee Nicholas Johnson, 21, both of the unit block of Paula Place in the Rosedale area, have been charged with two counts of first-degree murder apiece. The Johnsons are being held without bail at the Baltimore County Detention Center.
Police said the Johnsons were taken into custody during a traffic stop on Interstate 83 south around 3 p.m. on Tuesday, April 17, two days after a warrant was issued for their arrest.

The brothers are accused of killing two men on Sunday, April 8. The bodies of the deceased were found inside an apartment building on Lambourne Road.
Police said that the victims and the suspects went to the apartment building for a drug deal facilitated by the tenant who lived there. "It is still unknown what precipitated the murders," police said in a statement.

Stanley B. Brunson, Jr, 29,, and Shameek Davone Joyner, 28, were pronounced deceased at the scene when police responded there after a maintenance worker notified authorities at 9:15 a.m. on Monday, April 9.
Both Brunson and Joyner were shot multiple times. Brunson had additional traumatic injuries to his upper body, officials reported.
The Johnson brothers are slated to appear for a preliminary hearing in Baltimore County District Court on May 18.
