Towson Health Care Workers Celebrated Amid Coronavirus
Signs on Towsontown Boulevard at Osler Drive lift the spirits of health care workers in Towson.

TOWSON, MD — A local doctor submitted this photo to Towson Patch, spotted near the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center.
"It makes health care workers feel appreciated when they see it," said the doc, who did not want to be identified.
It was one of several ways health care workers are being honored.

Archbishop William E. Lori delivered a prayer of thanks and protection Wednesday called the "Blessing in Time of Pandemic" outside the main entrance at St. Joseph Medical Center.
"Shield and guide them as they provide care," Lori said of those he called "unsung heroes in an extraordinary time."

St. Joseph President/CEO Thomas Smyth and Board President R. Michael Gill were present for the blessing.
"This blessing is special to UM St. Joseph, a faith-based organization in a very stressful time," Smyth said. "To know that Archbishop Lori and our community are praying for us is a tremendous comfort and an overwhelming blessing."
