Raided Towson Pain Clinic Reopens: Report
A Towson pain clinic has reportedly returned to "business as usual" after a visit from the feds.

TOWSON, MD — A pain management clinic with two Baltimore County offices, including one in Towson, was the target of a federal raid this week, according to reports. Rosen-Hoffberg Rehabilitation was blanketed with federal agents on Tuesday and reportedly reopened Wednesday with business as usual being conducted there.
Rosen-Hoffberg specializes in treating chronic pain that results from age, injury or other conditions.
It has one office in Owings Mills and another in Towson.

In the Towson building on Cromwell Bridge Road, employees of neighboring businesses told Fox 45 that the clinic's clientele tends to be "sketchy," camping out near the office in lawn chairs or nodding out in their vehicles outside.
FBI and DEA agents confiscated more than 100 boxes of files there Tuesday morning, according to Fox 45, which reported Rosen-Hoffberg Rehabilitation was back to "business as usual" on Wednesday.

Officials who helped serve the search warrants at the health care offices were "looking for health care fraud, probably over-prescribing of opioids," a DEA spokesman told WJZ, noting that nobody was under arrest and no charges had been brought as a result of the 60-agent raid.
Officials said the federal probe was separate from a lawsuit brought by Baltimore City that alleges doctors and drug manufacturers over-prescribed opioids. The suit filed in January accuses the doctors who run Rosen-Hoffberg of operating "pill mills," where drugs are prescribed without legitimate medical purpose.
Dr. Norman B. Rosen called the allegation "absolutely ridiculous," in an interview with The Baltimore Sun.
