Three dozen electric vehicle stations are available at Towson University.

Towson University is a leader in the electric vehicle movement, according to ChargePoint, which runs a national network of charging stations.
Home to 36 vehicle charging stations, Towson University has the second highest number among universities the network serves. It was the only institution in Maryland to make this top five list that ChargePoint released Monday:
- University of California at Davis: 38 charging stations
- Towson University: 36 charging stations
- Santa Clara University: 26 charging stations
- Western Michigan University: 22 charging stations
- Massachusetts Institute of Technology: 21 charging stations
“American universities are often our hubs of innovation and technology,” ChargePoint CEO Pasquale Romano said. “Our data demonstrates which colleges and universities are leading the way when it comes to supporting low and zero-emission vehicles.”
