A planetarium show, poetry reading, wedding expo, vision board workshop, film festival and more are happening in Towson this weekend.

TOWSON, MD — This weekend in Towson, there's a salsa class for couples, a vision board making workshop, planetarium show and much more. For those who love the arts, Towson University is hosting a fine arts exhibition, an international film festival and a clarinet concert.

Center for the Arts Gallery Exhibitions

Friday, Feb. 15 and Saturday, Feb. 16; 11:00 am- 8:00 pm

Works by Yong Jea Frank Cho, Nadia Mohamed and Lucas Goodmuth are among those featured, in addition to the show on 3-D digital fabrication entitled Form.Print.


11th Annual Bridges to the World International Film Festival

Friday, Feb. 15, at 7:00 pm

The 2007 film "The Band's Visit" from Israel will be playing at Towson University. This free event is open to the public.

Salsa Your Way to a Better Relationship Couples Workshop

Saturday, Feb. 16, at 9:45 am

This class on Dulaney Valley Road is hosted by Lifespring Counseling Services.


Wedding Showcase at Sheraton

Sunday, Feb. 17, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm

This showcase will feature a fashion show, wedding vendors, hors d’oeuvres, cocktails, door prizes every 15 minutes and a drawing for a chance to win a romantic honeymoon getaway.


Towson Men's Basketball Game

Sunday, Feb. 17, at 2:00 pm

The Towson Tigers take on the Drexel Dragons at SECU Arena in Towson.


Paul Laurence Dunbar: An American Poet

Sunday, Feb. 17, from 2:00 to 3:00 pm

Admission is free to this event at Hampton National Historic Site, where a master storyteller will bring the words of Dunbar — an influential black poet born to formerly enslaved parents — to life.


Faculty Recital | Erik Franklin and Friends

Sunday, Feb. 17, at 3:00 pm

The clarinet recital at Towson University will also feature a pianist.


Vision Board Workshop

Sunday, Feb. 17, from 6:00 to 9:00 pm

Gather with like-minded people at The Point in Towson to come up with your vision board for 2019. Materials are included in the ticket price.
