Towson's Annual Holiday Celebration Returns Brighter than Ever with Winterfest 2015
Join your Towson neighbors and businesses for a month full of festive holiday events!
The Towson Chamber of Commerce, Inc. is proud to sponsor Winterfest 2015, kicking off with the Baltimore County Tree Lighting. The 2015 Baltimore County Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony will take place Friday, Nov. 20 from 6 - 8 p.m. Festivities will get under way with a spectacular holiday performance by the Towson University Marching Band, followed by a tree lighting ceremony, the opening of Santa’s Workshop and Santa’s arrival by fire truck.
Winterfest will include a multitude of holiday-themed events from Nov. 20 through Dec. 17. The celebration includes fun activities for the whole family and serves as an open invitation to visit restaurants and shops while experiencing exciting new developments around the Towson community. Members of the community are encouraged to visit Santa’s Workshop, eat breakfast with Frosty or the Grinch and enjoy a beloved holiday movie with the family!
In addition to a wide offering of family-friendly events and activities, Winterfest 2015 will also provide the perfect opportunity to find a special present for your loved ones in any of Towson’s unique shops. An array of locally-owned shops will offer promotions and specials as well as assistance with choosing the perfect gifts for friends and family.
After you’ve checked holiday shopping off your list, feel free to join us every Thursday evening during Winterfest for Ho Ho Happy Hours. Participating bars and restaurants are sponsoring holiday-themed happy hours including food and drink specials after 5 p.m.

Winterfest 2015 Schedule of Events
Baltimore County Tree Lighting
Friday, Nov. 20 from 6-8 p.m., Olympian Park, near Towson Circle
Festivities include a holiday performance by the Towson University Marching Band, tree lighting ceremony, the opening of Santa’s Workshop and Santa’s arrival by fire truck.
Black Friday Promotions
Friday, Nov. 27, Downtown Towson
Take advantage of the special discounts and promotions offered by locally-owned shops and restaurants.
Ho-Ho Happy Hours
Thursdays, Dec. 3, 10, & 17 starting at 5 p.m., Downtown Towson
Celebrate the holiday season on Thursdays at one of the participating bars and restaurants offering drink and food specials! December 10 is Ugly Christmas Sweater Night…wear one for a discounted drink!
Breakfast with Frosty
Saturday, December 5 from 8:30 a.m. - 10 a.m., Souris, 537 York Rd. (Towson Circle)
Come out and meet the famous snowman! Enjoy breakfast with Frosty and your family. $5 Children, $10 Adults.
Santa’s Workshop & Movie
Saturday, December 5 & 12 from 9:30 - 11 a.m., 1 E. Joppa Rd. (Towson Circle)
Kids can create holiday gifts at Santa’s Craft Workshop and watch the holiday classic “Frosty the Snowman” (Dec. 5) or “The Grinch” (Dec. 12). Movie starts at 10 a.m.
Fire and Ice & Christmas Tree Judging

View the ice sculptures around Downtown Towson and enjoy street performers, Christmas tree judging and free s’mores.
Breakfast with the Grinch

For a memorable holiday breakfast, bring your kids to eat along with the holiday character the Grinch. $5 Children, $10 Adults.
Men’s Shopping Night
Thursday, Dec. 17 at 5 p.m., Downtown Towson
Men, tonight is your shopping night! Locally-owned shops will offer specials and promotions and help you select the perfect gift. Souris will wrap your gifts for free!
