I-695, Northern Parkway, I-83 to Be Affected by Funeral Procession

The funeral procession for fallen Baltimore firefighter may cause delays between cathedral, cemetery.

The funeral service for Baltimore City Fire Lieutenant James Bethea, who died last week in the line of duty, will be held Thursday—and Baltimore County drivers should expect traffic, officials said.

“The funeral is expected to draw a large number of people,” Baltimore County public safety officials said in a statement. “Motorists are advised to find an alternate route around the procession route.”

The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Nov. 20, at the Cathedral of Mary Our Queen, 5200 North Charles Street, in Baltimore.
