Trench Rescue: 1 Hospitalized, Baltimore Co. Fire Officials Say
One person was freed from a 10-foot-deep trench, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Falling into a trench left one person with serious injuries Friday afternoon in Baltimore County, according to authorities. Several teams converged to assist with the rescue.
Crews were called around 4:15 p.m. to the 1800 block of Pot Spring Road, where a person had fallen into a 10-foot-deep trench, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.
Hazmat and confined-space rescue teams were also summoned to help, in addition to personnel from BGE and Maryland Occupational Safety and Health.

After 6 p.m., officials said the person had been rescued and was being taken to a local trauma center with serious injuries.
