BCPS Updates Weather Decision For Monday Feb 5
After re-evaluating conditions, Baltimore County Public Schools announced a change in schedule for Monday, Feb. 5.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Public schools in Baltimore County will be closed on Monday, Feb 5. Officials announced the system-wide closure on Monday morning, after re-evaluating an earlier decision to delay.
Baltimore County Public Schools cited icy conditions in announcing the closure on Monday.
Maryland State Police said multiple crashes were being reported across the area, particularly on overpasses, bridges and untreated surfaces.

The National Weather Service issued a special weather statement Monday morning alerting drivers that roads may appear wet, while in reality they are icy. People should give themselves extra time to get to their destinations and exercise caution on the roads, weather officials advised.
