Weather Decision From Baltimore County Public Schools For Jan 5

BREAKING: Baltimore County Public Schools announced plans for Friday, Jan. 5, after winter weather.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Public school students in Baltimore County will get to sleep in a little bit on Friday, Jan. 5; officials have announced that schools will open two hours late because of inclement weather.

School offices will open on time, according to Baltimore County Public Schools.

The National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory that includes Baltimore County. Temperatures will feel like 0 degrees to 15 below zero.

During the advisory period, people should be sure to wear a hat and gloves, since frostbite can occur within 30 minutes if skin is exposed. The wind chill advisory is in effect from 10 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 4, to noon on Friday, Jan. 5.
