'Welcome To Towson' Mural Is Complete

TOWSON, MD — Baltimore County Councilman David Mark on Monday lauded the completion of new mural in downtown Towson, taking to social media to thank the community members who made it possible.

“I am so proud of the work that went into (it),” Mark said on his Facebook page. “Kudos to Amy Redondo and her team, the Towson Chamber of Commerce, David Riley and all the donors.”

Towson Creative Partnership, a group within the Towson Chamber of Commerce, coordinated work on the mural. The partnership formed to identify opportunities for public art that could connect the communities within Towson and strengthen the local economy.

Plaza Artist Materials & Picture Framing on York Road donated art supplies for the work, and donations also came from Triple Crown, according to the Towson Creative Partnership. Several businesses helped with the mural’s creation beginning the week of June 15.
