Woman Run Over by Truck Says It Was Intentional: Police

Police said a woman was run over by a truck Sunday night in Idlewylde.

A woman was hospitalized after she was run over by a truck Sunday night in Idlewylde, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The woman said she had been riding in the truck prior to the incident, police reported.

Before 10:30 p.m. on Sunday, authorities found the woman lying in the road upon responding to a call for a crash involving a pedestrian at the intersection of Sherwood and Overbrook roads, according to the report.

The preliminary investigation indicates the woman had been riding in the truck and at the intersection of Sherwood and Overbrook, she got out, police reported.

When she attempted to get back in, the driver allegedly pushed her out and ran her over, according to the report.

The victim told police she believed the man drove over her intentionally, officials reported.

Police have not yet identified the truck driver, Cpl. John Wachter of the Baltimore County Police Department told Patch Monday morning.
