Woman Sexually Assaulted on York Road: Police

TOWSON, MD — Officials are investigating after a woman was sexually assaulted this week while walking on York Road. Police said that the 23-year-old had been walking south on York Road at the time of the attack in the area of Dumbarton Road.

When she was in the 7000 block of York Road, a man she didn't know approached her from behind and sexually assaulted her at 7:40 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 5, according to police.

Afterward, officials said the man went north on York Road and the victim sought help from a nearby resident, who called for help.
