15th Annual Emily Schindler Lecture on hold

Chesapeake Life Center hopes to be able to reschedule the event for later in the year.

In an attempt to exercise the most appropriate precautions and ensure a healthy and safe environment for the community, Chesapeake Life Center is electing not to hold the 15th annual Emily Schindler Memorial Lecture on April 29, 2020. The organization hopes to be able to reschedule the event for later in the year.

The organization is incredibly grateful for the cooperation of Dr. Tashel Bordere, Assistant Professor at the University of Missouri, Columbia, who was going to speak on the topic: “From Inequity Awareness to Social Action: Disrupting Disenfranchisement and Suffocated Grief in Marginalized Children and Adults.” It also is thankful for the understanding of the venue, the Owen Brown Interfaith Center in Columbia, Maryland.
