Dead Woman Found In Roadway Identified (Update)
The woman's body showed obvious signs of trauma when the victim was found on Route 301 near Upper Marlboro, police say.

UPPER MARLBORO, MD — Authorities have released the name of an Upper Marlboro woman whose body was found lying in the roadway of northbound Route 301 near an overpass in Prince George’s County, Saturday night.
Maryland State Police say the victim is Tiffany Storey, 33. Autopsy results indicate Storey’s cause of death was multiple injuries. The manner of death is still pending further investigation. The report noted no signs of suspicious injury.

Shortly before 9:30 p.m. Saturday, Maryland State Police from the Forestville Barrack responded to the area of northbound Route 301 near the exit ramp for Route 4 in Upper Marlboro and found a fully clothed, Caucasian woman lying face down in the roadway. Emergency medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene.
Investigators say there was obvious trauma to Storey’s body. The body, which was clothed, has been taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death.

State police investigators from the Criminal Enforcement Division, Central Southern Region, along with troopers from the Forestville Barrack and the CRASH Team responded to the scene. Emergency responders from the Prince George’s County Fire Department also responded to assist.
U.S. 301 northbound was shut down at the southbound Maryland Route 4 exit ramp during the investigation. Traffic was diverted onto southbound Maryland Route 4 until the scene was cleared.
