Did you know that June is men’s health month? So here’s your chance to encourage the men in your life to focus on their health. Heart disease, prostate cancer, hypertension, high cholesterol, diabetes and colon cancer are all leading causes of death for men of all ages.
You may ask why we need men’s health month. Well, the reality is men have higher death rates for all 15 leading causes of death (except Alzheimer’s disease) and die more than six years younger. Historically, men know less about health issues and are less likely to see themselves as ill or susceptible to disease.
So during this month, let the men in your life know how important they are to you and make sure these health tasks get addressed:
