📢 Community members - Adopters and fosters are needed for 25&nbsp;dogs on the urgent list by Tuesday, 6/30.&nbsp;Please go meet and adopt dogs today. The adoption fee is sponsored for Monty, and the fee for Ice Cube is $0 based on his weight.&nbsp;They are at full capacity with dogs&nbsp;including some in crates during construction and need space for more dogs coming in.&nbsp;&nbsp;
As of 6/24 PM: Up to 25 dogs need adopters and fosters! Check for updates at the Facebook link.&nbsp;&nbsp;
🐶&nbsp;Adopters:&nbsp;&nbsp;Please go to the shelter Thursday and Friday&nbsp;(11am to 7pm, arrive by 6pm) and Saturday (10am to 4pm, arrive by 3pm.) Adopters are able to meet 2 dogs and bring dogs for meet and greets 
Note: Adopters of pit bulls: Review the requirements and complete the&nbsp;Pet Parenting Certification (that takes about an hour)&nbsp;before going to adopt&nbsp;Pit Bull Terriers&nbsp;and specific bully-type breeds. 🐶 Prospective fosters:&nbsp;Fosters through the shelter and rescues are needed for these dogs.&nbsp;Please apply with rescue partners, or with the shelter, to become a foster and save a life.&nbsp;The Friends of PG&nbsp;County Animal Shelter posts about dogs which need fosters through the shelter or otherwise through rescues.&nbsp;Fostering is usually free with a rescue.

Prince George's Stadium

The Chesapeake Baysox invites the community to join them for a night of live music, family activities, and a breathtaking fireworks display.&nbsp;Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and young fans are invited onto the field for&nbsp;nearly two&nbsp;hours of play time, including&nbsp;Kids&nbsp;Run the&nbsp;Bases, catch in the outfield, and an inflatable obstacle course. A face painter and balloon artist&nbsp;also&nbsp;will be on hand to add to the festivities. The&nbsp;evening's&nbsp;concert gets underway at approximately 6:30 p.m., featuring live performances by Blues in a Blender and Honey Sol, with the&nbsp;Star-Spangled&nbsp;Banner performed by Bullpen Brass.&nbsp;All&nbsp;of&nbsp;your favorite ballpark concessions will be available throughout the evening. Then, as night falls, the sky above Prince George's Stadium will come alive with a spectacular fireworks display.

Fireman's Field Complex, 250 S. Nursery Ave., Purcellville, VA, 20132

The annual Purcellville Wine and Food Festival returns on Saturday, July 18, in Dillon’s Woods at the historic Fireman’s Field Complex (250 S. Nursery Avenue, Purcellville). The festival will take place from 2 to 8 p.m., inviting guests to gather with family and friends for an afternoon and evening of local wine, beer, food, live music, art, and more.
This year’s event will showcase 40 vendors, including wineries, breweries, food and snack vendors, and local exhibitors. Enjoy live music performances by the Rick Reaves Band, The Darby Brothers, and the Franklin Park Big Band. The “Arts in the Garden” section, hosted by the Purcellville Arts Council, will highlight local artists who will create works of art live on-site. Additional activities include face painting and a photo stand-in booth. 
Early bird ticket pricing is available through 5 p.m. on July 17: 
• Early bird admission (ages 17 and over): $5 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink tickets (6 oz wine or 12 oz beer): $8.50 (+ tax) 
• Early bird drink ticket package: 4 tickets for $32 (+ tax) 
• Early bird bottle of wine purchase: $35 (+ tax), available from participating wineries (bottles must be consumed on-site)
A souvenir glass will be provided with the purchase of the first drink ticket. Save time and money by purchasing your tickets in advance. 
The popular VIP experience returns for $275 (+ tax) and includes admission for six, a reserved table for six, three bottles of local wine, six souvenir glasses, six drink tickets, early entry to the festival, special commemorative gifts, and a selection of sweets and savories for the table.
