A general misunderstanding of dyslexia has hindered many parents from seeking proper diagnosis and intervention for their child. This seminar aims to educate parents and professionals about dyslexia so that children with dyslexia can be identified sooner, receive appropriate instruction, and acquire the support they need to succeed.

Attendees will learn early signs of dyslexia in children, how it is diagnosed by professionals, and general research-based teaching strategies that result in improved reading. Common misconceptions about dyslexia will be discussed as well.
