
On Thursday, March 22nd from 7:00pm-8:30pm, The Summit School’s Head of School, Dr. Joan Mele-McCarthy is joined by Dr. Jane R. Snider, Founding Executive Director, to present a fact-filled discussion on the history, diagnosis and defining differences, and plan of educational action for those with dyslexia. This free seminar will be held at the Calvert County Library, Fairview Branch located at 8120 Southern Maryland Blvd., Owings, MD 20736.
Drs. Mele-McCarthy and Snider will discuss:
- What are the symptoms of dyslexia?
- When is it appropriate to assess for learning differences?
- What causes dyslexia?
- What should an academic program include?
